Gujarat means biz in Canada now

A 16-member business delegation from Gujarat is in Canada to attract companies to take part in the fifth annual ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ Summit, to be held on January 12 and 13 in Gandhinagar.

Held biennially immediately after the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas since 2003, the Vibrant Gujarat Summit is aimed at attracting foreign investment and knowhow into the state.

Canada is the first Western country to partner the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

The delegation, led by the state’s Principal Secretary (Energy), Mr D. J. Pandian, will interact with government leaders and officials of construction, energy, engineering, aviation, mining and infrastructure companies to seek investment and knowhow.

Prominent delegation members include representatives of Reliance, Adani Power, Torrent Power, Suzlon, Cadila, Hazira LNG Ltd, Amos, iNDEXTb, Welspun Industries, Technopolis, Sai Infosystems and Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University.
