CONCOR N-W Region’s awards function in Ahmedabad today
The eagerly-awaited annual awards function of the Container Corporation of India’s (CONCOR) North-West Region takes place on September 7 at the Diamond Hall, Rajpath Club, here from 6.30 pm. An event the maritime trade in the region has been looking forward to, it will see shipping lines, CHAs, exporters and importers, LCL consolidators, domestic shippers and forwarders, etc., being recognised and honoured for their performance in 2009-10 at the many cargo-handling facilities in the region. These include ICD-Sabarmati, DCT-Khodiyar, RCT-Vadodara, ICD-Ankleshwar, CFS-Gandhi-dham, and the Mundra Port and Port Pipavav. The North-West Region is one of the most important for CONCOR, contributing more than 10 per cent of its overall ex-im cargo. In 2009-10, it exceeded the ex-im targets fixed by 20 per cent. According to the Region’s Chief General Manager, Mr Amit Kumar, continuing commitment to delivering services, appreciating the business needs of its customers, and the trust that the Region’s facilities will efficiently cater to the needs of the trade have been the reasons for CONCOR’s tremendous success in this region. The awards function will see participation from head honchos and representatives of leading sectoral companies and facilities, as well as regulatory and enforcement authorities. |
